Bed and Breakfast, Eritrea.

We were driving from the Ethiopian border, back to Asmara. We pulled over to sleep, a shack by the side of the road renting out cots. It was complete darkness, the light coming only from an old television powered by car battery. I grabbed a cot and pulled it into the dark. I can hear Brown and our guides pulling their cots in the dirt. I walked in the dark, not seeing anything, counting my footsteps. We all woke up to the beautiful flat landscape of northern Africa.- Cedric Angeles. Photo by Brown Cannon III
